As we have previously announced, we will continue increasing our product offerings to include a more comprehensive set of aviation APIs. Over the course of these past few months, we have onboarded new flight operations APIs to our platform. Learn more about them below.

Aircraft Models

Jeppesen Aircraft Models API provides information about model characteristics of commercial aircraft and a large number of business aviation aircraft. Information available includes the model name, ICAO and IATA aircraft codes, engine type and engine amount, and basic dimensions crucial for aircraft operations (wingspan, weight and height). Data powering the Aircraft Models API originates from Jeppesen’s Aeronautical Database, which is updated every 28 days according to the Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control (AIRAC) cycle.

Runway Monitor

Jeppesen Runway Monitor API provides information about the active runways for arrivals and departures at airports around the world. This API also provides runway references information, such as threshold identifiers, length and entry/exit intersections.

Flight Events

Flight Events API provides a variety of real time data analytics services that provide in-depth insights into flight statuses of the worldwide aviation fleet. Flight Events Services are powered by Jeppesen NavData® & Airport Mapping Database (AMDB) and live ADS-B position data with worldwide coverage. Easily accessible to developers and other users, the Flight Events API’s live event messages can be integrated in tools and dashboards to improve situational awareness and support Flight Deck Crews, Dispatch, Flight Following and Airside Operation Managers in making smarter decisions.

Boeing leads the way in aerospace APIs with Boeing Developer Tools. Our portal allows aerospace developers and technical project managers to rapidly browse, test and purchase APIs, as well as software development kits (SDKs). Born out of a need to connect Boeing’s own digital products and services, Boeing Developer Tools couples the company’s cutting-edge technology with unparalleled aviation data history.
